Osteoporosis occurs when you lose too much bone and/or make too little bone. As a result, your bones become weak and may have a higher risk of fracture. About 54 million Americans have low bone mass and are at increased risk for Osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis actually means “porous bone.” If you look at healthy bone under a microscope, you’ll see that parts of it look like a honeycomb. If you have osteoporosis, the holes and spaces in the honeycomb are bigger than they are in healthy bone. Although Osteoporosis is largely preventable, half of all women over the age of 50 already have low bone density.
In a 2012 study, researchers determined that subjects had to experience at least 4.2 multiples of their body weight to trigger the growth of healthy new bone tissue in the hip.
At
OsteoStrong, members are in control during their supervised sessions and reach growth trigger events at their own pace to comfortably achieve many multiples of their body weight. Once weekly
OsteoStrong sessions can lead to striking and documented improvements in bone density.
